Research Interests

The aim of my research is to strengthen evidence about the distribution and determinants of health, particularly which clinical services (e.g. treatments, procedures, etc.) improve outcomes in real-world settings and whether outcomes vary across populations. My research primarily focuses on the cancer care continuum including prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. My current research interests include:

  • Quality of cancer care
  • Treatment patterns among cancer patients and survivors
  • Cancer among people with hepatitis C

Importance to Patient Care

The evidence generated from my research may be used by patients and providers to make informed decisions about care. In addition, health systems may use this evidence to focus on delivering clinical services with the potential to improve outcomes.
